Title: Toddler Storytime

Day of the week/Time: Wednesday 11-11:45

Ages: 18 months-3 years

Goals: Provide a storytime that helps children develop literacy skills in an environment that allows them to move and explore.

Reasoning for Program: As toddlers become more active and their motor skills develop they need an opportunity to be active and explore. This storytime allows them the chance to be active while still being exposed to elements that develop literacy skills, such as reading, singing, and playing.

Activities: The schedule will include several books that allow for audience participation and songs that are movement based. Time will be provided at the end for children to play with toys and books and for adults to talk with each other and library staff.

Supplies: Books, bubbles, stickers, toddler toys, scarves, small bean bags for tossing.

Staff: Librarian or library assistant

Budget: Included in $600 yearly storytime budget.
