Overview: The goal of storytimes is to develop early literacy skills through the talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing. All storytimes will take place in the enclosed storytime room. They will be lead by the youth librarian or one of the two youth librarian assistants who have been trained in literacy and child development. With the exception of Sensory Storytime registration is not required, but there is a limit of 30 people due to space limits. At least two of the monthly storytimes will focus on the theme of the month. The remaining storytimes will focus on cultural events, national holidays, or another theme chosen by the staff presenting.
